Project Overview
The Hampton Inn in Huntington, NY came to Long Island Waterscapes looking for a water feature that would elevate the guest experience and create a memorable first impression at their property. Angelo designed and built a custom fountain and water feature that now serves as a welcoming focal point for hotel guests — the kind of feature that makes a property feel genuinely special from the moment you arrive.
Commercial water feature projects like this one require a different approach than residential builds. The feature needs to be visually impactful, mechanically reliable with minimal maintenance requirements, and built to withstand heavy daily exposure in a high-traffic environment. Angelo drew on his 18+ years of water feature construction experience to deliver a feature that checks every one of those boxes.
The Challenge
Hospitality properties present unique challenges for water feature installation. The feature needed to be operational year-round with minimal interruption to the property's guests and staff. Installation had to be completed efficiently within the property's scheduling constraints, and the finished product needed to project quality and professionalism consistent with the Hampton Inn brand.
Additionally, the feature needed to be designed for easy maintenance — hotel facilities staff can't be expected to manage a complex pond ecosystem. Angelo designed the system with simplicity and reliability as core priorities, ensuring the Hampton Inn team can keep the feature running beautifully with minimal effort.
What Was Built
- Custom commercial fountain feature with natural stone elements
- Recirculating pump system sized for commercial continuous operation
- Waterproofed basin with easy-access maintenance points
- Professional installation with minimal disruption to property operations
- Low-maintenance design requiring only basic seasonal service
The Result
The completed water feature transformed the entrance environment of the Hampton Inn Huntington. Guests arriving at the property are now greeted by the sight and sound of moving water — an immediate signal of quality that sets the tone for their entire stay. The feature has operated reliably since installation with minimal maintenance requirements, exactly as designed.
