Garden Fountain Builders on Long Island
Not every property needs a full pond or waterfall — and sometimes a beautifully designed fountain is exactly the right answer. At Long Island Waterscapes, we install custom garden fountains across Long Island that bring the sight and sound of water to any outdoor space, regardless of yard size.
Owner Angelo has been installing water features on Long Island for 18+ years. Whether you want an elegant basalt column in your garden, a disappearing fountain near your patio, or a large urn feature as a landscape focal point, we design and build it right.
Types of Fountains We Install
Disappearing Fountains
Our most popular fountain style on Long Island. Water appears to bubble up from a stone, urn, or rock feature and "disappear" into the ground — where a hidden underground basin collects and recirculates it. No standing water, no pond, completely safe for children and pets. These work beautifully near patios, entranceways, and garden beds. They're also extremely low-maintenance — just top off the water occasionally and enjoy.
Basalt Column Fountains
Natural basalt columns — volcanic stone pillars with water flowing from their tops — create a stunning, architectural focal point in any garden or landscape. We install single columns, grouped column arrangements, and illuminate them for nighttime drama. These are particularly popular in Hamptons gardens where clean, natural aesthetics are prized.
Bubbling Urn & Sphere Fountains
Stacked stone urns, ceramic spheres, and decorative vessels make excellent fountain features for smaller spaces. Water bubbles from the top, flows down the exterior, and recirculates from a concealed base. Available in rustic, contemporary, and traditional styles to match any architecture.
Large Garden Fountain Features
For estate properties and formal gardens, we design larger fountain installations — multi-basin features, tiered garden fountains, and custom stone fountain structures that serve as true centerpieces of an outdoor space.
Millstone & Natural Rock Fountains
Millstones, natural boulders drilled for water flow, and organic stone features create a uniquely naturalistic fountain style. These blend seamlessly with cottage gardens, woodland landscapes, and naturalistic Hamptons properties.

Fountain FAQs
How much does a fountain installation cost on Long Island?
Simple disappearing fountains and urn features typically start around $1,500–$4,000 installed. Larger basalt column features and estate garden fountains run $4,000–$10,000+. Angelo will give you a firm quote after seeing your space.
How much maintenance does a fountain require?
Very little. Most fountains require occasional water top-offs and a simple annual cleaning. No filter changes, no pond chemicals, no fish care — just enjoy the sound and sight of water.
Can fountains be used in winter on Long Island?
We recommend shutting fountains down before hard freezes — typically late November. Startup in spring takes about an hour. We offer seasonal maintenance that includes both shutdown and startup service.
